Wisconsin families will soon be allowed to possess a marijuana extract that is used to treat medical conditions.
Gov. Scott Walker on Monday signed a bill into law that lets a physician or pharmacy dispense Cannabidiol (CBD oil), a cannabis compound, with a prescription.
State law bans possession of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Cannibidiol, however, does not produce a high or psychoactive effect.
CBD Oil has been used to treat seizures, pain, anxiety, and other disorders.
